I Lose Ten Pounds With The Medifast Program Diet

Diet programs promise the moon and the sky but do not deliver in reality was my opinion before I began the Medifast Diet Program. However, today I know that is not true and there is one program that delivers all its promises. I have been saddled with a weight problem since a long time and my bad eating habits coupled with lack of exercise did nothing to resolve the problem. I have tried various methods and diet programs, like the low carb diet, the no carb diet and many others but found no success. At the end of the day, I was always tired, depressed and not wanting to continue. I kept going back to my old lifestyle and my weight kept increasing. In fact it increased so much that I found that I did not fit into my old clothes and when I went shopping I realized that I could not find my size at any regular store and had to go to a specialty store! That's when I came across the Medifast Diet Program and with the consultation of my physician I started the program. I am a newbie in the program but I have to say that despite being only two and half weeks into the program, I have already lost 10 pounds!

What is this program?

Well, firstly this program is a very low calorie diet program that uses meal replacement supplements as a fast and effective method to lose weight. This is a clinically tested program where the results have revealed that a person on this diet can lose anywhere between 2-5 lbs every week. This program believes that eating smaller portions more times a day ensures your calorie intake is just below the required limit and it results in burning the excess fat in the body in order to create adequate calories. In other words when your calorie intake is just below required you tend to burn the existing mass in your body and this leads to weight loss. In this program you tend to eat every 2-3 hours so you are never left feeling hungry.

What does your diet include?

Medifast meal replacement supplements include a wide variety of food items like shakes, bars, oatmeal, puddings, hot and cold beverages, soups and chili. These come in separate containers and each is a correctly apportioned quantity that is perfect for a single meal. All that one has to do is add water to the mixture and either put it in the refrigerator or in the microwave and your meal is ready in minutes. There are two kinds of meal plans, the complete meal replacement plan and the 5 and 1 meal replacement plan. I opted for the 5 and 1 meal replacement plan where five of my meals were meal replacement supplements and one meal was a regular meal comprising of leans and greens approved by Medifast.

Why does it work for me?

This Diet program is different and more effective than others because it allows us to eat to fill our stomachs and does not believe in depriving. The routine of eating healthy every 2-3 hours a day has ensured that I am never hungry. My entire lifestyle has changed and I can see the difference already. It is a very easy diet program but you should have the strength to stick to it. There have been and there will be a lot of invitations for lunches and dinners but you should stick to your diet and not let go of your goal. It is difficult as it requires the strength to say no to your favorite foods but if you follow the diet regime strictly then you will also see the difference that I have experienced. I have already lost 10 lbs, it's not a major weight loss but it has definitely made a difference to the way I view life. It has made me stronger and more positive about this diet and the only thing I can say in conclusion is that you have to try it to realize the difference.
